In der Schulküche des Küchenmuseums haben seit 2010 weit über 1500 Schul-Kochkurse mit über 32.000 Kindern und Jugendlichen stattgefunden. Das macht die WOK-Schulküche zur beliebtesten Lehrküche außerhalb der Schulen in Hannover. In den Kochkursen für Kinder und Jugendliche werden ausschließlich marktfrische Lebensmittel verarbeitet.

Alle Speisen sind vegetarisch und auf eine gesunde Ernährung ausgelegt.

Inhalte

Der Besuch beinhaltet eine kurze Führung durch das Küchenmuseum mit anschließendem Kochen in der Schulküche. Dort wird jungen Menschen die Verarbeitung der frischen Lebensmittel vermittelt. Es wird beim Eindecken der Tische die Tafelkultur erklärt und im Anschluss gemeinsam gegessen. Aufräumen und Abwaschen gehören mit dazu.
